OAK GROVE, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Spreading Our Support (SOS) Foundation of the Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR), and Young Professional Network (YPN) were hosts for the 10th annual Handbags for Hope Saturday at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel.
With the theme of Celebrating a Decade of Hope, around 600 guests enjoyed dinner and entertainment, along with a silent and live auction with proceeds from the event going to the SOS Foundation. Both the silent and live auction featured luxury handbags filled with sponsors products, experiences or services. Since the event began in 2014, more than $1 million has been raised.
The nonprofit Spreading Our Support Foundation, was founded by the Clarksville Association of Realtors as a way to help other nonprofit groups that are in need of support in the community. Organizations that have applied and received funds from the foundation over the years include Judy’s Hope, the American Mobility Project and Clarksville Area Urban Ministries SafeHouse, just to name a few.
Jamie Wilbanks, Member Engagement Manager with the Clarksville Association of Realtors said the event Saturday raised more than $200,000.
